Steven was a speaker at the eventful 1997 World Bank/IMF Annual Meetings Program of Seminars. He was a discussion leader on the Asian stock markets session (see page 13).

The book had its official U.S. launch at this conference in 2004. About a dozen contributors to the book were present at the event.
